“explore” Jefferson School of Design & Engineering Wins UCDA Award of Excellence

Very pleased to announce that the “explore” Jefferson School of Design & Engineering Portfolio viewbook has won an Award of Excellence in the annual UCDA Design Awards 2022 competition. The professional jury evaluated 775 print and digital entries, awarding 151 awards.

The “explore” Jefferson School of Design & Engineering Portfolio viewbook features recent work created by undergraduate and graduate students of the 17 different disciplines within the School of Design and Engineering, and includes approx. 40 projects.

The project was produced in the Spring 2022 Jefferson Visual Communication Design Workshop course which provides select graphic design students with the opportunity to work on real projects for real clients, thus gaining valuable experience while still in school. Four Jefferson Visual Communication Design students worked collaboratively throughout the semester to design and produce an 80 page + covers publication—along with sticker sheets (intended to be interactive with the audience so that recipients could customize their own copy). The course was taught by Professor Frank Baseman, now celebrating his 25th year of teaching.
