MS Industrial Design Alum Wins at SIGGRAPH

Along with the rest of his team at Meta Platforms, Seth Moczydlowski MSID ’13 has won Best in Show: Emerging Technologies at the SIGGRAPH 2023 conference for “Flamera” (rhymes with camera): a VR passthrough headset that uses a novel optical design to directly capture the exact rays of light that would have gone into the eye, enabling virtual objects to match the lighting and perspective of objects in the real world.
