We’re thrilled to welcome Scott Bodenner to our Textile Design faculty! Scott combines international textile expertise with a passion for innovation and artistry. After earning his BFA in Textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), he went on to work in some of Europe’s most prestigious mills in Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. There, he dove deep into complex weave structures and discovered creative ways to develop entirely new textile qualities from traditional setups.
Scott is also the founder of the Bodenner Collection, where he pioneered luxury recycled textiles for interiors and designed fabrics with light-refracting and even light-emitting properties. His work has been featured in major exhibitions, including the Museum of Art and Design in New York, the Triennale in Milan, and the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco.
With experience that spans both large-scale manufacturing and creative design, Scott brings students a one-of-a-kind perspective that bridges industry and art. We’re excited for the knowledge, inspiration, and creative energy he’ll share with our community.
