Last week the BsID Class of 2021 presented their Senior Capstone Projects to a large gathering of industry experts, ID faculty and classmates. The projects ranged from adaptable workstations to new musical instruments to tools for harvesting scent as an aid to memory.
The evening was a huge milestone in the undergraduate experience of the Seniors presenting. It was the final project of their four year career in the Jefferson Industrial Design program, as well as the culmination of a design process that began in August of 2020. A tremendous amount of work has been done by each of the two-student teams researching, designing, testing and enhancing their projects.
But it’s not over yet! With one month remaining in the semester, the teams are now actively revising and refining their projects based on the input that they’ve received. Among the final project deliverables that they’re working on are design portfolio sections and full summary books detailing the process behind their year-long projects. We look forward to sharing these with you on Aspire as soon as the work is turned in at the end of the semester.
Stay tuned!
