Beehive

Inspired by the product of a female run network, Beehive is a place for young women and professional working women to come together. Our mission is to provide examples of representation in various fields of work, while connecting young women with a role model. We also work to increase the awareness of varying fields of work that may not be presented in a traditional high school format. Finally, we create resources that empower women to help each other in the workplace, and encourage all women to support each other along every step.

The website is a home base for Beehive. Within the site there is access to mentorship information and career resources for both the student and the mentor/working professional. In addition, there is information about Beehive Live, the annual women’s career conference that highlights women working in all different fields and gives the student direct access to the information.

The app is home to the Beehive Live features. In addition to the QR Scanner, there is an interactive schedule system as well as a personalized ticket. In addition, the app features the student resources from the website, so that they may be completed on a smartphone as opposed, in case a desktop/laptop computer is not available to them at all time.

The check in process and several features are through the app, to ensure that there are no lost tickets, and that they can keep any information they have/connections they make in one place. There are QR codes on all the doors, so they can preview who is speaking in a certain room each day, and QR codes on the badges to make quick connections after meeting with someone.
