For eighteen years, the Animation Show of Shows has been screening some of the best animated shorts the world has to offer in schools, studios, and festivals around the U.S. The University of the Arts has teamed up with the show’s curator (also Acme Filmworks founder and AWN.com co-founder) Ron Diamond for the tenth year in a row to bring the show to animation students in Philadelphia. Among the audience at the show’s November 2nd screening this year were some of Philadelphia University’s own senior and junior Animation majors.

Every year, Diamond curates over a dozen animated short films from artists all over the world. From 2D to 3D to stop motion, these shorts feature stunning animation and awe-inspiring stories.

While some of the shorts in the current line-up are also available to view online, nothing quite beats seeing these films on a larger screen. For the second year in a row, the Animation Show of Shows is available in theaters throughout the U.S., and even available in select countries worldwide. Visit the Animation Show of Shows website to see if the program is playing in a theater near you and click here to learn more about the short films screening this year.
